Louis was hospitalized with Covid-19 in early September. Prior to this, he was a healthy, active 85-year-old who played golf once a week. After four days in the hospital, he was discharged with home healthcare. When he returned home, he was very weak with little appetite and his wife was recovering from Covid-19 as well—so the support that home healthcare provided was vital. Louis is receiving nursing care, physical therapy and occupational therapy, which has helped him improve significantly in just a matter of weeks. He is currently working on his upper and lower body strength so he can return to the active lifestyle he enjoys. Louis really appreciates the genuine care and empathy of his nurses and therapists and their willingness to do what needs to be done to help him regain his health. Home healthcare has made such a difference in his recovery and Louis and his wife are very grateful.
